Our client is seeking to engage a Head of Marketing on a Permanent, Full Time position.

Position Overview

As the Head of Marketing, you will design and deliver strategic integrated marketing activities and brand awareness campaigns across a diverse hospitality portfolio.

Leading a dynamic, agile marketing team, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, tracking and optimising all brand marketing campaigns and associated activity across both traditional and digital marketing channels, for two hotel brands and four food and beverage brands.

All marketing efforts will aim to strengthen each individual hospitality brand; increase brand awareness, loyalty and conversion; and ultimately, grow business revenue.

High focus will be placed on end-to-end campaign strategic direction, creation, delivery and reporting, as well as day to day marketing efforts across the suite of hospitality brands, utilising owned, paid and earned channels.

A solid understanding of audience segmentation, website maintenance, search engine optimisation, e-marketing strategy, paid advertising, social media strategy and management, content creation, activations, and reporting will be key to fulfilling the functions of the role. Strong budget management and smart allocation of financial year funding will also be an important aspect of the role.

Reporting directly to the General Manager by Geocon, you will be responsible for communicating effectively with all members of the management team. You will also lead a team of two - three direct reports, providing team management, coaching, mentoring and support.

Project multitasking, problem-solving and strong written and verbal communication skills are key requirements of the role. The ability to liaise confidently and professionally with internal and high-level external stakeholders is also expected.

Core responsibilities

  • Develop and lead the integrated marketing strategies for a suite of hospitality brands
  • Design, deliver and analyse monthly brand campaigns across traditional and digital platforms
  • Monitor and report on conversion rates and provide recommendations to improve digital user experience and sales performance
  • Work closely with the Head of Design to project manage digital visual content - such as website builds and maintenance projects, photoshoots and broadcast TVC / radio campaigns, and digital and print promotional assets
  • Ensure all brands' visual creative assets (digital and physical) are relevant and up to date
  • Plan for all marketing expenditure well in advance and develop a financial plan that will maximise resources
  • Manage media opportunities and ensure all earned media coverage is positive in sentiment
  • Design and lead packages, promotions and activations specific to each hospitality brand
  • Identify new opportunities for innovation and progression in hospitality marketing


  • An experienced marketing professional who has worked across all areas of integrated marketing and is able to manage multiple brands daily, with equal attention
  • At least 5 years' experience in a senior marketing and team leadership role
  • High level presentation, negotiation and relationship building skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and outstanding written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, agile thinking and the ability to respond to dynamic conditions
  • Ability to seek and effectively respond to feedback from the wider organisation and key stakeholders
  • A university degree in marketing, communications, or similar is advantageous, though not essential
  • Marketing experience in the hospitality industry will be highly regarded
