About the role
We are partnering one of Australia's leading resources companies, to secure the services of an experienced Geotechnical Engineer to be deployed at Mt Keith Minesite near in the Goldfields region of WA on a FIFO basis, commencing immediately.

The key requirement of the role is to ensure that all mine geology functions are carried out to a high standard, ensuring the safe, efficient and accurate achievement of mine production targets.
This assignment will cover a period of 3 months with a very strong possibility of permanency and requires a competent and experience Geologist to hit the ground running.

To be successful in this role, you will require the following:

  • 7+ years experience in a Mining Geologist | Geotechnical Engineer role - Open Pit
  • Prior experience in assessing and analysing geological data to advise on short-term and long-term mine production plans.
  • MUST HAVE excellent working knowledge of Vulcan
  • Be confident, assertive with excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills | written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to analyse numerical and graphical data.
  • Demonstrable experience in conducting wall check and evaluations, daily report writing, slope stability and rock fall analysis and be comfortable with radar and prism monitoring

Ideal candidates must also hold the following prerequisites:

  • Bachelors Degree in Geology in open pit mining
  • Previous experience in Iron Ore is essential
  • Provision of a current Drivers License and Australian working rights
