Our client is an independent statutory agency, supporting people with significant and permanent disabilities and their families.

About the role
The Front of House is a team membership position and is responsible for setting priorities and managing workflow for their role and producing work that is subject to regular monitoring by more senior positions within their management structure.

The position will undertake procedural, clerical, administrative support and operational tasks including some basic research and analysis activities.

The position may have a public contact role and may be required to communicate with and provide straightforward advice to a range of internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Providing counter/reception support for the local office including participant enquiries in the self-help kiosks.
  • Managing the team shared email inbox, calendars, appointments and telephone enquiries.
  • Undertaking research and investigation activities and preparing associated reports and correspondence.
  • Coordinating appointments with the use of Agency office facilities and ensuring facilities are accessible for participants.
  • Coordinating and organising executive meetings.
  • Undertaking a range of data entry activities.
  • Receiving and recording complaints and other feedback in the Business systems.
  • Recording information provided by participants in the Agency database regarding changes or issues with participant plans and ensuring follow up is completed.

What you will bring to the role

  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • You will be a passionate and empathetic individual with a desire to kick start your career within the Government and Disability space
  • Experience in Customer Service and general Administration in an office environment is essential
  • Excellent time management, planning and efficiency
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint

What we offer:

  • Port Augusta location
  • X2 Part time 6 month casual contract from early December, with possibility to extend
  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am till 5:00 pm, full time working hours
  • $36.27/hr + superannuation

It is highly desirable that the successful applicant understand or lived experience in the field of disability.

Must hold a current DCSI Working with Children, or willing to apply.
