Out Federal Government Client is currently seeking multiple APS4 Junior Fraud Investigators to join their Surry Hills Team.

As a Junior Investigator you will contribute to the work of the Fraud Intelligence and Investigations Branch of our Federal Government client.

This role requires you to possess the ability to contribute to different investigations depending on the needs of our client. In doing so, you will use initiative and discretion in the interpretation of policy and the application of practices and procedures, by ensuring sound time management, IT skills and the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
Under supervision, assist with tasks to progress investigations for criminal prosecution.
Work with other junior investigators to provide consistent and reliable technical support across the full investigation function.
Analyse documents, data and other information and provide appropriate support to investigators.
Conduct telephone and/or face-to-face enquiries to obtain/verify information and data.
Identify opportunities for business and process improvement.
Contribute to accurate and informative reports for investigation cases by accessing information and raising or referring issues appropriately.
Assist with the prevention of inappropriate benefit payments.
Use a range of analytical tools and databases to collect, collate and maintain data records, e.g. Excel, iBase and CRM based system products.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:
Possess a Certificate IV in Government (Investigations) or relevant experience
Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft Office products
Demonstrated experience in applying compliance standards and practices and/or experience in the conduct of criminal investigations
Ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation
It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability
