Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Fraud Intelligence Analyst on a contract till 31/12/2023 with potential extension.

Position Overview

The APS6 Fraud Intelligence Analyst (Labour Hire) is accountable under limited direction to undertake complex work that is guided by legislation, policies, procedures, standards, methodologies and precedents.

The position has reasonable autonomy and accountability to exercise both initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, in the application of practices and procedures to achieve outcomes within the functions.

The APS6 Fraud Intelligence Analyst (Labour Hire) is required to provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. Where required, the role will coordinate and assist in the strategic planning, program and project management and policy development that support the NDIA's objectives to "build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme".

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to the development, planning and production of financial intelligence outputs and outcomes.
  • Conducting fraud assessments and producing financial intelligence reports for complex matters from the collection, evaluation and analysis of information.
  • Leading tactical intelligence projects through the development of collection plans, assigning tasks, analysing financial and other information, and articulating findings.
  • Complying with all relevant legislation, NDIA policy and guidelines for the management of information and the use of ICT systems and tools.
  • Contributing to the development of business rules, refinements and suggested avenues of analysis and investigation.
  • Producing financial intelligence products within set timeframes in compliance with legislative, policy and information security frameworks.
  • Maintaining accurate files and records in relation to business decisions and intelligence activities and functions, contributing to reporting requirements.
  • Providing ongoing intelligence support for matters referred for investigation.
