A great opportunity for an experienced Structural Fire Engineer to join a national manufacturer of building products.

The company is well established throughout Australia, has high profile brand products, and continues to design, manufacture, and sell a comprehensive range of innovative product and solutions for industrial, commercial, and residential applications.
Collaborating with several universities across Australia on highly technical research projects supported by government grants, they have an active involvement in shaping the future of the building industry through their involvement in changes to the regulations.


The Opportunity:

  • Working in a close-knit technical team, you will be involved in a variety of product development activities at the head office in Brisbane supporting sites nationally
  • You will be involved in inhouse testing of specialised products at their NATA accredited structural laboratory.
  • Your daily activities will also include research, engineering design calculations, developing technical and marketing literature, as well as providing technical support to internal and external clients across all products produced by the group.
  • Project management and Product development projects including product design, prototype testing, and development of technical and marketing literature.
  • Develop design tools/ spreadsheets for in-house use.

About You:

  • Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Ideally a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role 
  • Prior experience in Nata accredited Structural or fire labs is advantageous
  • Enthusiastic, driven, focused & reliable
  • The ability to work and collaborate within a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Australian Standards and NCC
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of people
  • Demonstrated time management and organisational skills
