The Opportunity

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the position of Financial Controller will support the delivery of the commercial and strategic priorities of the business.

The Candidate

As the Financial Controller , you will partner closely with the Board providing your expertise in financial control and business performance whilst leading a multidisciplinary team. You will be a seasoned finance manager who is commercially focused, technically astute and people-centric with the ability to lead from the front. With a strategic mindset and hands-on approach, you will look forward rather than just reporting on past results. You will be a clear and lateral thinker and effective decision-maker with uncompromising professionalism, unshakeable ethics, and sound judgement.


The Expertise

  • Tertiary Qualification in Business/Finance (or a related area of management)
  • Significant recent Accounting experience in a similar level role with a hands-on practical approach to preparing and analysing financial and cost benefit reports and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience managing finance teams with a proven ability to meet deadlines and achieve results.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with high proficiency in Microsoft applications particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Proven experience in leading business process improvement and project management.
  • Proficiency in preparation of Financial, general reports and presentations with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to understand and articulate key financial and business variables in a dynamic and growing commercial environment.
  • Develop the Finance team's capability, ensuring personal effectiveness, balanced workloads, development of future roles and retention of key personnel.
  • Superior presentation, communication and influencing skills.
  • The ability to achieve real credibility with the wider stakeholder Groups.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all dealings; be honest and open; listen to and consider stakeholder views; and act in a way that reflects the culture and values of the business
  • The ability to grow the business through steady and continuous improvement against established performance objectives.
