Our client is seeking to engage a Finance Manager on a permanent/part-time employment basis.


The successful applicant will be required to focus on managing the company's bookkeeping, compliance and general finance requirements in a hands-on role offering a wide variety of tasks and challenges including, but not limited to:

  • Ongoing data input and management of company financials;
  • Provide services in Australian taxation, superannuation, business services and accounting
  • Prepare financial statements, tax returns and activity statements
  • Prepare BAS returns, reconciliations and other GST obligations for clients
  • Prepare Payroll Tax, Long Service Leave Levi returns, etc.
  • Be able to undertake independent research and communicate taxation and other matters;
  • Oversee payroll activities;
  • Attending to monthly and year-end reporting;
  • Report on matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis and forecasting needs;
  • Ensures credibility of finance reports to provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial trends and forecasts;
  • Working closely and mentoring associated staff to ensure goals and objectives are met in an efficient and professional manner;
  • Monitoring and managing cash flow with regular reporting;
  • Manage accounts receivables and payables;
  • Monitoring compliance with internal policies and procedures;
  • Identifying risks and making recommendations to amend as they arise; and
  • This role will be based in our Head Office at Canberra directly reporting to CEO.

Skills & Experience:

  • minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar finance role with
  • experience in the Disability/ Aged Care sector preferred;
  • Working knowledge of GST and related tax issues applicable to the Disability/ Aged Care sector preferred;
  • The ideal candidate will have 5 to 8 years' experience plus have your CA or CPA.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in MYOB; and
  • The ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders.
  • In addition to the above, applicants will also present professionally, have high level written and verbal communication skills, demonstrate effective leadership and possess the motivation to take on higher level responsibilities as required.
