Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Finance and Commercial Coordinator on a contract for 12 Months, with potential extensions of 12 months.

Position Overview

Provide Finance and Commercial Coordination Support to the Service Assurance Lead in the following areas:

  • Contract Governance Support;
  • Performance Management and Reporting Support;
  • Financial Governance Support.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and update standardised agreements based on the needs analysis performed and the outcome of negotiations to ensure the overall management and control of the operation of formal contracts for supply of products and services.
  • Implement processes and procedures to track information such as risks, spend information, in a timely manner, increasing capability in the Commercial Coordination area;
  • Promote change control processes and leads variation negotiations when necessary;
  • Champion continuous improvement programs, jointly developing strategies and incentives to enhance performance;
  • Ensures that lessons learned from reviews are documented and promoted with all stakeholders;
  • Develop broad industry/category credentials as 'best practice' to champion;
  • Develop and update standardised agreements based on the needs analysis performed and the outcome of negotiations;
  • Provide ad hoc support and advice for contract development;
  • Oversee transactional negotiations, the implementation and management of agreements and contracts (including contract variations), commercial management and operational relationship and risk management.

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • Knowledge and experience of Commonwealth Procurement Policy and the CPRs;
  • Knowledge and experience of Commonwealth financial management;
  • Experience with governance and management of contracts for the supply of products and services; including analysing, negotiating and formalising contract changes and variations;
  • Experience with the implementation of processes and procedures to track and report spending against budget.
  • Specific contract budget and financial management experience;
  • Specific contract governance experience.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have an NV1 clearance.
