Our client is seeking to engage a Finance and Administration Officer.

Position Overview

You will be assisting the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with various aspects of financial management including:

  • Management of accurate financial records using Xero, including accounts payable and receivable, monthly and annual financial reconciliation
  • Providing payroll support including reviewing timesheets, maintaining HR records and processing a fortnightly payroll for a team of 30 people
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial reporting, including project based financial reporting, as well as monthly and annual company reporting to the Executive
  • Delivering accurate, timely and responsive administrative support with respect to financial management of the business
  • Undertake general administrative tasks at the direction of the Corporate Coordinator
  • Other duties as may be required by the CFO and Corporate Coordinator
  • Assistance with statutory reporting including preparation of Business Activity Statements, Instalment Activity Statements and payroll tax reporting

What you will bring:

  • Relevant accounting, finance or related qualification/experience
  • Experience working in a small business environment
  • A willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment
  • A working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, practices and procedures, and of computer-based accounting systems particularly Xero
  • Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
  • Experience performing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting activities
  • Ability to track and manage tasks that occur regularly and manage your time effectively
  • Excellent communication, both verbal and written skills
  • Exceptional Excel skills
  • Sharp attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to process data effectively
