Role: Field Technician

Roster: 8:6 / 7:7 (DAY SHIFT ONLY)

Shifts: 12 hours

Client: BHP

Site: Area C/South Flank/Newman Operations


The role will entail both general field technician duties as well as exploration tasks as per below.

Job Details:

 Assisting the Mine geology team with daily work activities

 Exploration activities such as soil sampling programs or other work in the exploration space.

 Core cutting & processing and meter marking

 Collect, pack, record and dispatch sampled from RC and diamond drilling

 Complete accurate recording of samples and sample sheets

 Ability to work independently when in the field and in a larger team when working in the core yard.

 Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

Desirable or willing to obtain:

 Current First Aid certificate

 4WD Driving training
