We seek an experienced Field Leader for an exciting opportunity in the energy network service industry based in Maryborough.

We seek an experienced Field Leader for an exciting opportunity with our client, an established Australian brand in the energy network service industry based in Maryborough.

Reporting to the Field Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management and leading a team regarding the construction, maintenance, and restoration of network services.


Responsibilities:
  • Lead the team on overhead electrical construction projects.
  • Ensure the effective utilisation of resources to meet the timeline, quality, HSE, network reliability and cost targets.
  • Provide local operational leadership for the site and manage related customer and stakeholder communications (enquiries, complaints, issues etc.).
  • Monitor and oversee local inventory, stores and logistics requirements, including supervision of Supply Chain Field Officers.
  • Lead the implementation of improvement programs and drive innovation.
  • Manage process, technology and organisational change at field operations level.
  • Support business planning initiatives, including HSE, network reliability, human resources, sub-contract, financial and operational functions.
  • Provide oversight for project scoping, planning, materials management and resolution of technical issues.
  • Ensure delivery of construction projects within schedule, cost, HSE and quality requirements.
  • Support the hiring process for operational and field roles.
  • Manage people, including performance management overtime and stand-downs, to meet workload requirements.
  • Implement and ensure compliance with HSE standards set by the company, client and statutory policies, including investigation and reporting of incidents
 
Qualification, skills and experience: 
 
  • Trade qualified within the electrical industry (mandatory) 
  • +8 years of demonstrated experience working in the electrical environment (mandatory).
  • Previous experience in Project / Contract Management with the ability to apply project management principles in an electrical distribution construction environment.
  • +3 years working as a team lead/workgroup leader managing an unionised workforce (mandatory).
  • Overhead distribution construction or design experience would be desirable.
  • Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with a “Can Do Attitude.”
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and proven communication/coaching skills
  • Full working rights in Australia.
