Our Client, Australia's leading employer in the food industry is looking to fill a permanent full time role of Site Manager at their Tamworth Feed Mill.

Reporting directly to the National Milling Manager, the primary function of the Site Manager is to manage the day-to-day running of the mill production to satisfy the needs of the livestock division. This will include, but not be limited to:

  • Managing Site Personnel
  • Ensure Production and Quality is maintained.
  • Manage Capital expenditure and Site Maintenance costs.
  • Ensuring the Company guidelines are followed;
  • Safety, WHS
  • Legal compliance
  • Environmental, EMS
  • Personnel Training

    The critical skills and experience required to be able to perform in the role are:
  • Proven skills in Site Management in a production environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Experience in staff management and supervision with the ability to demonstrate sound leadership qualities
  • An understanding of basic Feed Milling and Grain Handling preferred.
  • Well developed problem solving skills related to quality issues with the ability to identify and implement long term preventative actions
  • Experienced in the organisation and implementation of training programs
  • Knowledge of relevant Award / Workplace Agreements
  • Ability to set work budgets, manage costs and complete weekly cost reporting

    To be considered for the role, candidates must have:
  • Previous experience in Site Management in a Production environment.
  • Current driver's licence
  • Excellent leadership skills and excellent people skills

    The skills and attributes that would be preferable however not essential are:
  • Knowledge of the poultry livestock industry
  • Trade, Engineering or Management background
  • Prior understanding of Quality Systems including; SQF, Environmental Systems, Workplace Health and Safety
  • At least 5 years milling or grain handling experience
