Chandler Macleod in partnership with RMAA Australia, are seeking a qualified and experienced Facility and Tooling Engineer for their newly announced Ford Australia F-150 conversion program.

RMAA Australia has been contracted by Ford Motor Company of Australia Limited to convert the Ford F-150 pick up truck, from left hand drive to right hand drive at its brand new facility in Mickleham (Northern Suburbs)
This exciting new venture, involving the USA's top selling vehicle, requires an experienced Facility and Tooling Engineer to support the team in bringing the Ford F150 to customers in Australia and New Zealand.

THE ROLE: What's On Offer!
▪ Working in partnership with Manufacturing Engineers, Product Engineers, Product Specialists,
Maintenance Technicians and other Facility and Tooling Engineers to identify, specify, purchase,
install and validate all Facility and Tooling required to support the conversion of Ford F150s.
▪ Developing layouts and facility and tooling proposals.
▪ Identifying, specifying, designing, procuring, testing, installing and validating all facility and tooling
requirements.
▪ Confirming facility and tooling safety, capability and durability as fit for OEM standard purpose
(consistent with program volumes).
▪ Driving the lowest cost solutions and ensuring project timing is met.
▪ Managing suppliers as required in order to ensure facility and tooling quality, fit for purpose and
timing requirements are met.
▪ Ensuring that all facility and tooling is safe at installation and in operation and delivers high quality,
capable outcomes and is durable to operate with minimal maintenance.
▪ Conducting trials and validating capability at suppliers and in plant as required.
▪ Ensuring that plant personnel are trained in the safe use of facilities and tooling and in the required
maintenance schedules.
▪ Documenting preventative maintenance schedules and ensuring that maintenance manuals and
required spare parts are available as installed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Our expectations from you!
▪ You have strong facility and tooling experience in the automotive industry or another manufacturing
industry.
▪ You have a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
▪ You are experienced in facilities tooling design, installation and commissioning.
▪ You have experience in the use of safety risk assessment analysis and engineering safety review
processes.
▪ You are familiar with lean manufacturing principles including value stream mapping.
▪ You have the ability to conceptualise, understand and assess product and manufacturing process design.
