One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an experienced Exploration Field Technician to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Site.

The main duties of this role may include:

  • Drill rig management, including drill pad preparation tasks, diamond core processing and RC rig associated tasks.
  • Contribute to the collection of mineral samples by collaborative effort with the Geoscience team
  • Undertake all logistical tasks related to sampling, including the recording of information into electronic systems, sample pickup and dispatch (as required)

Successful candidates will have the following experience:

  • Exploration field technician experience, exposure to exploration activities such as soil sampling programs or other work in the exploration space.
  • Experience working in the bush and semi-remote areas
  • Ability to use a hand-held GPS and experience with 4WD on gravel roads & tracks.
  • Ability to work independently when in the field and in a larger team when working in the core yard.
  • Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

Candidates must also be able to:

  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Provide a current WA Drivers Licence
  • Have current working rights in Australia
  • First Aid certification (desirable)
