We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join the team for our client based in Artarmon.
Supervising a team of 10-15 you will ensure that day to day operations meet Health, Safety & Environmental requirements while delivering operational performance, developing and caring for its people, and driving a culture of continuous improvement. This position is on afternoon shfit starting at 2pm Mon- Fri. Some weekends may be required.

The key responsibilities of this role will include:

People Leadership:

  • Support and coach team leaders/leading hands
  • Develop leadership skills of team leaders/leading hands by leading by example, conducting bimonthly 1 on 1's and performance improvement plans
  • Develop individual skills sets to create a multifunctional work force across all key areas
  • Facilitate employee communication ensuring all key messages (safety, quality, financial, customer etc.) are communicated
  • Performance management of shop floor individuals

  • SAFETY:
  • To achieve zero harm, zero defects and zero environmental incidents
  • Lead safety from the front.
  • Ensure safe working practices are adhered to
  • Ensure that quality concerns are effectively managed

    Operations & Planning:
  • Accountable for the delivery and execution of output targets set by management
  • Liaising daily with the scheduler to keep up to date with targets
  • Manage timekeeping and shift structures supporting production targets while minimising cost of labour
  • Ensuring that preventative maintenance is conducted to eliminate or reduce plant downtime
  • Actively participate in production meetings
  • Stock is ordered in time and in the right quantitates within the department


    To be successful in this role you will have:
  • 5 years + manufacturing experience
  • 5 years + people leadership experience
  • SAP & Microsoft 365 experience
  • Sound Mathematical and Language skills
  • Good Communication skills both written and oral
