Chandler Macleod is looking for an Experience Centre Manager to lead an energetic and dedicated team to help engage and provide a great experience for visitors an Experience Centre. This will be for a 12 month fixed term maternity leave contract.

Duties for this role will include but not be limited to:
Liaise with the Community and Stakeholders in a positive manner to promote and actively drive visitation.

  • Respond promptly to enquiries and concerns from the local community
  • Facilitate the use of the Centre for approved stakeholder activities and events.
  • To manage, motivate and develop the team to always deliver the highest standard of customer service to all visitors.
  • Manage and deliver the daily operations of the Centre, including but not limited to financial management, facility maintenance, the visitor experience, technical support, resource & team management and Centre programs/initiatives.
  • Contribute, deliver and monitor the objectives of the WSI Experience Centre Visitation Strategy.
  • Plan, develop, implement and evaluate new and innovative programs and activities to meet the information needs of the community and stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to improve and enhance the visitor experience
  • Implement, conduct and ensure due diligence of all health and safety matters including training, risk assessments, COVID-19 safety plans, procedures and correcting/raising hazards/safety issues.
  • Manage and evaluate the current and future needs of the Centre, including making recommendations.
  • Responsible for reporting and analytics to help the business make data-informed decisions, including weekly and quarterly reports in relation to the Centre. This includes e.g., visitor satisfaction, visitor attendance, visitor demography, etc.

To be suitable for the above role you will have:

  • Demonstrated management experience in Community Engagement, Events Management or Customer Service in a public venue.
  • Knowledge and experience in management, planning, budgeting and reporting.
  • Experience in managing staff, planning and administering a diversified range of programs and activities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including report writing experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate potential problems, pre-empt required actions and actively deal with conflict to achieve a timely and pragmatic resolution.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and respond positively to challenges.
  • Aptitude to understanding technical information and construction terms.
  • Hold a current first aid certificate or be prepared to undertake a course in first aid.
  • Hold a working with children's check or obtain prior to commencement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Marketing or Tourism Operations.
  • Ability to work on multiple issues at the same time.
  • Ability to keep tight deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to change.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
