About the organisation:
Our Federal Government client supports a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers. The client is an independent statutory agency that is responsible for implementing the federal governments disability scheme.

About the role:
An unparalleled opportunity has arisen for a proven executive to help identify key strategic challenges, assist with designing and implementing strategic policy and providing advice around coordinating action. You will design and execute innovative strategies to address policy issues and assist with making an enormous positive impact on the lives of people living with disability.

Key Duties:

  • Overseeing, maintaining and analysing policy initiatives that incorporate a broad understanding of the policy environment.
  • Assessing the impact of changes in Government policy, initiating and contributing to appropriate responses.
  • Developing comprehensive briefings and correspondence to support senior executives to engage in discussions with governments and stakeholders including for the Minister, the Department Board and the executive.


Skills & Experience:

  • Proven track record of operating within a highly regulated environment and leading and shaping significant policy considerations and approaches.
  • Excellent ability to monitor and analyse the Government Policy environment and provide detailed guidance and recommendations to senior executives and stakeholders.
  • Superb stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Tertiary Qualifications within a relevant disciple is desirable but not essential.
