Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an APS4 Executive Assistant on an Ongoing employment basis.

About the Role:

Our Client provides leadership in best practice management of the official record of the Commonwealth and ensures that Australian Government information of enduring significance is secured, preserved and available to government agencies, researchers and the community.

The Access and Public Engagement Branch is the public face of the agency, delivering reference, description and research services, examination for the release of records in the open period, exhibition, education and public programs, publishing (including digital publishing), marketing, partnerships and events on site at national and state offices and online. All programs and activities support the key National Archives' role of providing an accessible, visible and interpreted national archival collection.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Under general direction the main duties of the role are to:

  • Provide executive support to the ADG, including diary management, travel arrangements, secretarial support, preparation of correspondence, filing and office administration.
  • Coordinate and monitor inputs across the branch for ADG clearance.
  • Coordinate arrangements for branch meetings, external forums and stakeholder meetings.
  • Liaise and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders and provide appropriate advice and assistance as required.
  • Other duties as required to support the ADG and the Branch.
  • Apply the principles of APS Values, Code of Conduct, workplace diversity principles, work health and safety and participative management within a work and team environment.
  • Apply the National Archives' Vision, Mission and Commitments as expressed in The Archives Way.

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience as an Executive Assistant is desirable.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • The successful candidate will be required to have a Baseline security clearance.
