A great opportunity for an experienced Events Coordinator/Admin to join a large, busy federal government team.


  • ASAP start
  • 12 month temporary assignment until September 2022
  • Full time hours Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours per day between 8.30am and 5.00pm
  • $45.74 per hour

About role:

  • Completing operational and/or administrative tasks of moderate complexity or difficulty
  • Event calendar and email management, responding to changing priorities and timeframes.
  • Responsible for forward planning events in the annual events calendar
  • Responsible for the logistics relating to all events - locations, accommodation, transportation, conferences, webinars etc
  • Manage the team email inbox - acting as the main escalation point and managing any requests as they arise
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships both within the organisation, and public facing
  • Liaise with event suppliers, and negotiate contracts within budget
  • Responsible for all event planning and key calendar management
  • Undertake any other required administration duties
  • Undertaking scoping and research as required

About you:

  • Previous experience in a similar role, ideally in government
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Ideally a background in project management.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Previous experience working in an event management environment, ideal
  • High level attention to detail
  • You will have intermediate to advanced PC skills
  • Experienced in working both autonomously as well as within a team
  • Flexible to change
