About the role:

  • Working with the Leadership Team to identify key opportunities for appropriate attendance at events to inform a proactive events strategy.
  • Managing a forward planned events calendar, ensuring representation is aligned to the corporate plan and in line with the NDIA's strategic engagement approach.
  • Providing local logistical event management, assisting in the preparation and logistics of a range of events for the agency including sessions, forums, conferences and webinars.
  • Providing support to manage the email inbox, acting as a point of escalation for the triaging of agency events and third party event requests.
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with stakeholders to promote the agency, identifying opportunities to represent the agency in interactions with key stakeholders and public facing events.
  • Liaising with and helping to coordinate external supplies in accordance with agency deadlines, resources, budgets, contracts and policies.
  • Assuming responsibility for data management including the collation of stakeholder mapping and reporting of feedback, identifying associated risks and trends to assist forward planning and informed deliverables.
  • Providing content for briefing and event related documents, undertaking research and supporting the delivery of materials for strategic projects.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Previous experience within a similar role; Government experience is preferable but not essential.
  • Excellent time management, planning and efficiency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in research and evaluating legal procedures.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
  • Strong teamwork abilities.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
