ELECTRICIAN WANTED

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrician for a role with Newcrest to operate at their Telfer Mine Site, to start immediately for the right candidate.

You will be rewarded with:

  • $76.24 Per Hour
  • 8:6 Days Only Roster
  • 10.5% Superannuation Contribution on ALL hours worked

Main role duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining high voltage Infrastructure/distribution
  • Diesel generator electrical maintenance
  • Pump control fault finding and maintenance
  • Bore pump installations
  • Electrical statutory testing and inspections
  • Scoping and install of small electrical projects within utilities department

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience:

  • Significant high voltage distribution/switching exposure
  • Instrumentation exposure desirable
  • De-watering experience highly regarded
  • Previous experience working on a mine site
  • SAP experience (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience within a mining operation environment
  • Self-motivated and ability to work in a strong team environment
  • Current work rights in Australia

The ideal candidate will possess the following Qualifications:

  • WA electrical worker's licence
  • High voltage switching ticket
  • Valid first aid certificate
  • CPR and LVR in last 12 months
  • Cert IV in instrumentation (preferred but not essential)
  • C class driver's licence
  • High risk licence (EWP, forklift) (preferred but not essential)

Candidates must also be able to:

  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Provide National Police Check (within 2 months)
  • Provide a current WA Driver's License
  • Provide Proof of COVID-19 Vaccinations
