One of our clients, a well-known entity in the Western Australian Mining Industry, is seeking the services of an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join the Chandler Macleod Team on their Port Hedland Site.

The main duties of this role include:

  • Work closely with all employees and stakeholders to analyse performance issues, develop, and implement strategies for improvement.
  • Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the automated equipment including predictive and preventative maintenance measures.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing maintenance opportunities for improvements.
  • Notify Supervisor of any defects/damage on any Fixed Plant equipment.
  • Participating in a positive inclusive culture

  • Working a 7day 7night 14off FIFO roster, FIFO from Perth to Port Hedland

    Successful candidates will have the following experience:
  • A Western Australian Electrical license
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Excellent electrical knowledge.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • 1SAP Maintenance system or similar system
  • CNC Sinumerik Automation System. Not necessary but highly regarded.
  • Have experience with PLC (Siemens), HMI/Scada, VSD.
  • Sounding understanding in Hydraulic & Pneumatics systems
  • Maintenance environments and Breakdown/Fault finding experiences in industrials environment.
  • Experience in automations and process control equipment's and environment. Not necessary but highly regarded.

    Candidates must also be able to:
  • Provide a copy of their Trade Certificate
  • Provide a copy of your First Attached Firefighting Equipment Qualification
  • Provide a copy of Confined Space, Gas Test Atmosphere, EWP
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner
  • Pass a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug Screen
  • Provide a current WA Drivers Licence
