The Role
Reporting to the Electrical and Controls Engineering Manager, the Electrical Engineer will join a team of professional Engineers in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient operation of Bayswater and Liddell Power Stations. You will provide professional and technical support to delivering the asset management strategies in line with budget, whilst holding safety & risk management in the highest regard.
You will be responsible for:

  • Development of asset management strategies
  • Technical support to operational staff on engineering standards
  • Contribution to innovation opportunities and implementation of continuous improvement practices
  • Considered and effective management of change for all plant upgrades/modifications

    About you:
  • You will hold a degree qualification in Electrical Engineering with experience working within a power station or heavy industrial environment
  • You have working knowledge of power station plant and associated systems (or similar systems within industry), maintenance practices, operational and engineering processes, standards and regulations
  • You possess a sound understanding of high voltage motors, switchboards and transformers
  • You have a strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environment
  • You are a champion communicator with the ability to share clear and accurate information to many stakeholder groups
