About the Organization:

Our client is a Federal Government agency, they are responsible for our national weather and climate services.
This Agency monitors and provides forecasts regarding important information and advice on environmental changes and its affect to Australians. Located in the Melbourne CBD and enjoying a hybrid approach to work, this agency is looking to engage an experienced EL2 Workforce Planning Implementation Lead

About the role:

The EL2 Workforce Planning Implementation will be responsible for leading the implementation of high impact workforce projects that support the delivery of a new operating model for the Agency Data and Digital Group (DDG). You will lead the overarching program of work for this strategically important initiative, while demonstrating exceptional leadership and customer-centric capabilities. Strong influencing abilities with the Senior Leadership and business teams will ensure your success in this position.
You will work in conjunction with the Agency Organisational Development Program (OD) to ensure that and resourcing to support the delivery of the Workforce Implementation Plan is appropriately sized.
 
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to: 
  • Lead the implementation of the Workforce Plan activities for the DDG to support the realisation of business priorities and changes to work, workers and the workplace
  • Work collaboratively with supporting enterprise functions to transform the DDG workforce to deliver a new operating model by leveraging Enterprise Transformation tools and resources
  • Oversight the delivery of data driven and practical talent practices, including leadership capability development
  • Be accountable for the implementation of a learning and development approach that ensures that DDG has the right people, with the right skills at the right time at the right cost.
  • Support the delivery of the DDG Culture Action Plan on the future workforce as the workforce plan is implemented
  • Regularly develop reporting artefacts, communication products and papers that are provided to the DDG executive and Executive Team more broadly, that respond to the Agency's corporate approaches to budget, resource allocation and risk identification
  • Demonstrate high level leadership to a team of expert pracitioners across the domains of workforce planning, learning and development, HR operations and transformation.
  • Comply with all the Agency work, health and safety policies and procedures, and taking reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of employees, contractors and visitors who may be affected by your conduct.
 
MANDATORY
  • Similar experience under Australian rules and regulations
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Stakeholder management experience, particularly in determining business readiness criteria.
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current Police Check, or ability to obtain one.
