About the role:
The EL1 Test Lead is responsible for developing and improving digital solutions to enhance the experience and objectives of participants of the Agency. You will enable effective management of plans through digital platforms that interact with the Agency and relevant providers. The position is an important team leadership position within the Agency and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Lead testing of participant and provider digital tools including planning, preparing and delivering user acceptance testing (UAT) and business verification testing (BVT) for product releases
- Undertake quality management and testing assurance activities through the preparation and review of test strategies, plans, accessible test scripts in Easy English, coverage matrices and sign off reports
- Manage and support participants and their representatives, and registered providers to undertake UAT and BVT
- Work with IT team to ensure environment and test cases are available for testing
- Manage and track all testing activities and escalating defects
- Estimate effort and time requirements for testing activities
- Manage the resources of testers to support the various testing phases as required
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- Quality management of testing for the development and execution of test plans tests scripts and reports to ensure the quality of our products
- Skilled at testing systems, processes and methodologies
- Strong co-ordination and planning skills to support test execution including ability to review tests and reprioritise if required.
- Strong stakeholder management skills to support working across multiple teams, products and stakeholders
- Ability to define the scope of UAT and BVT testing within the context of each release / delivery
- Ability to apply and report on appropriate test measurements and metrics to measure progress of testing
- Ability to understand complex solution designs and translate them into Test cases
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
- Experience using JIRA to manage defects
- Familiar in working within an Agile squad
- Past Experience managing UAT directly with end users

- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
