About the role:
The EL1 Strategic Change Implementation Manager is responsible for supporting the design of change management activities to ensure effective implementation of prioritised initiatives based upon assessing the impacts of change on staff, participants, partners, providers and other stakeholders. This role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the work area.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Gather and develop structured insights and recommendations for change design and implementation of projects.
- Develop, implement and evaluate project and change management requirements in accordance with the Project Delivery Framework and Change Management Framework.
- Create materials for senior internal and external stakeholders, including the Minister, Board and Executive Leadership Team to communicate perspectives, recommendations and implications for the Agency.
- Present recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of Agency stakeholders and senior leadership.
- Identify, assess and report change risks or issues.
- Develop action plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment for enabling successful implementation.
- Lead the tracking and evaluation of change management activities in the Agency and proposing recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Influence and advise project sponsors on effectively managing and implementing change.
MANDATORY
- Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- 2 - 6 years’ experience in transformation, design, change management and project management
- Change and/or Project Management qualifications
- Demonstrated success delivering against key performance indicators and delivering results within agreed time frame
- Experience working in complex cross[1]functional teams
- Demonstrated success in building momentum for and delivery of change activity
- Emotional intelligence in working with stakeholders and leaders at all levels of the organisation
- Willing to get your hands dirty where required
- Strong presentation
- Ownership skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
- The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
Desirable skills to have for the role:
- Leadership
- Advanced Excel
- MS Project (or equivalent)
- Experience applying the above skillset in a disability service environment will be highly regarded

- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
