About the role:

  • You will develop research tools, techniques and artefacts to deliver research outcomes in line with best practice and inclusive user research frameworks.
  • You will lead research projects which may include desktop research, contextual interviews, observations, surveys and usability testing.
  • You will lead teams to analyse and synthesise research findings to understand user behaviours, needs and motivations leading to the creation of insights and opportunities.
  • You will apply the AIATSIS Code of Ethics for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Research.
  • You will prepare a range of high quality research artefacts, including reports and personas.
  • You will contribute to development of a new approach to user research aligned to the National Agreement on Closing the Gap.

About you:

  • You will have the ability to plan and conduct Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander user research, and lead the synthesis and analysis of findings, applying a range of methodologies including
  • You will have the ability to demonstrate Cultural Competence, Links to Community, Connection to Country and ability to facilitate meaningful conversations with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples.
  • High-level interpersonal and communication skills to effectively and sensitively engage
  • You will be available for the full term of the assignment
  • You will have a Working with Children or Vulnerable Persons check.
  • You will have a Current Drivers Licence
