About the role:

The EL1 Provider Engagement Is an important team leadership position and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for staff working within the positions assigned Work Area.  You will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency’s objectives
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Work closely with key stakeholders including other Federal Government departments, State and Local Government, providers, carers, people with disability and mainstream organisations to address market challenges
  • Develop market capability and capacity to ensure the support needs of participants are met
  • Support the development and promotion of resources that enable market development and improving the Agency’s understanding of the market environment and provider experience, market conditions and challenges.
  • Undertake the role as a contact for key providers whilst supporting provider market and Agency provider processes, and representing the Agency in discussions with providers, provider peak bodies and industry stakeholders.
  • Support the development and utilisation of channels to maintain knowledge of policies, processes and market strategies
  • Support information sharing activities with key internal stakeholders including national office portfolios (markets, operations and communications) and other business areas
  • Implement and support national engagement strategies intended to develop market and provider maturity
  • Draft and proof-reading briefs, papers, reports, QoN’s, QTB’s, TP’s and complaint responses
 
MANDATORY
  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Strong stakeholder management skills to support working across multiple teams, and stakeholders collaboration and engagement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work with competing priorities
  • Problem solving with evidence of critical thinking, decision making and information processing
  • Adaptability
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development
  • The Agency Worker Screening Check. This is only applicable to some positions within the Agency that require the occupant to have access to classified Australian Government information.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
Desirable skills to have for the role:
  • Understanding of the aged care interface
  • Previous engagement experience
