Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage EL1 Project Manager Claims & Payments Implementation a 12 months assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.

About the Team
The Claims and Payments Transformation Program consists of two teams; the Claims and Payments Improvement team and the Claims and Payments Integrity team.
The Claims and Payments Improvement team is responsible for strategic planning and implementation of transformation initiatives to increase payments and claims quality, efficiency, controls, correctness and outcomes. This includes ensuring claims and payments processes are optimally included in improvements relating to CRM Software.
The Claims and Payments Integrity team includes functions for payments assurance control testing and sampling. It reports on outcomes of assurance activities and assists with remediation. It is also responsible for establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships to improve the payments control environment. The team is responsible for implementing detective and preventative measures that will reduce claims and payments error and improve compliance. This is achieved by a combination of manual validation checks and systematic risk & behavioural analytics.
About the Role
The EL1 Project Manager (Labour Hire) is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the functions of the NDIA.
The position is a team membership position within the NDIA and has a concurrent requirement to resolve issues and risks across a broad range of activities of substantial depth involving significant detail and to provide support to the team leadership of their work area in the planning and coordination of the team.
The EL1 Project Manager (Labour Hire) will coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the NDIA’s objectives to “build a world-leading National Disability Insurance Scheme”.
The position is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA’s interests across a range of forums.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
  • Developing, managing and implementing project plans and schedules in accordance with the Agency’s project management framework.
  • Contributing to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration.
  • Ensuring project deliverables and milestones are met on time.
  • Researching, reviewing and evaluating projects in specific operational or technical areas.
  • Reporting on project outputs to stakeholders and overseeing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports.
  • Preparing and reviewing written material including business cases, plans, reports and executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Identifying, assessing, managing, escalating and monitoring project risks, issues and benefits, including developing treatment strategies.
  • Analysing project performance and coordinating quality management activities to ensure that project deliverables are fit for purpose and meet client needs.
  • Setting strategic direction and priorities for the portfolio area in line with Agency priorities and national/branch action plans.
  • Developing and delivering optimisation initiatives to support service improvement and performance in line with strategic objectives.
