About the role:
The EL1 Program Scheduler is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes within the Participants, Platforms and Process functions of the Agency. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the Participant Platforms and Process functions.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:
- Work with Program Delivery Leads to maintain a program master schedule.
- Collaborate with program stakeholders to review and update dependencies and milestones in the program master schedule.
- Manage the interface between various work packages to manage the program dependencies.
- Maintain the master schedule and comparing work performed against the baseline.
- Identify activities affecting the critical path and working with relevant program stakeholders to identify corrective measures.
MANDATORY
- Extensive experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
- Reviews project performance and focuses on identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Maintains an awareness of the organisation, monitors the context in which the organisation operates and finds out about best practice approaches.
- Responds in a positive and flexible manner to change and uncertainty.
- Recognises the links between interconnected issues.
- Breaks through problems and weighs up the options to identify solutions.
- Explores possibilities and innovative alternatives.
- Establishes clear plans and timeframes for project implementation and outlines specific activities.
- Monitors project progress and adjusts plans as required.
- Gathers and investigates information from a variety of sources and explores new ideas and different viewpoints.
- Probes information and identifies any critical gaps.
- Builds and sustains relationships with a network of key people internally and externally.
- Commits to achieving quality outcomes and ensures documentation procedures are maintained.
- Seeks feedback from stakeholders to gauge satisfaction.
- Consults and shares information and ensures others are kept informed of issues.
- Confidently presents messages in a clear, concise and articulate manner.
- Approaches negotiations with a strong grasp of the key issues, having prepared in advance.
- Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
Desirable skills to have for the role:
- Tertiary qualification in project management desirable, but not essential.
- Familiarity with AGILE methodology and project scheduling programs such as MS Projects or Clarizen

- Experience in building relationships both with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work within and across teams, the ability to adapt quickly to a changing environment
- Ability to manage confidential and sensitive information.
- Ability to prioritise and allocate tasks in an efficient manner while also maintaining high work standards and accuracy.
