About the role:

The EL1 Product Owner is responsible for coordinate and assume responsibility to undertake detailed or sensitive projects that may include performing varied activities involving many different and unrelated processes or methods that may impact on the strategic or operational outcomes that support the Agency's objectives. You will exercise a considerable degree of independence to engage in very complex problem solving and issues management within the branch functions. The position requires exercising sound decision-making and judgement to produce high level policy advice and operational support.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work within an agile design squad, utilising the varied skills within the cross-functional team to achieve the team's objectives and goal.
  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of projects through the design and build phases
  • Support Product Owner in presenting outputs and documentation for approval
  • Ensure design & build priorities are clear, delivered and Product Owners are aware of risks
  • Define requirements to support development of artefacts and user stories
  • Provide context of key design & build considerations while supporting and enabling teams.
  • Facilitate stakeholder sessions and showcases with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ensure product is fit-for-purpose for both participants and internal end users

MANDATORY
  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations
  • Product leadership (knowledge, discovery and delivery)
  • Analytical leadership (problem analysis and problem solving)
  • Process leadership (planning, communication, results)
  • Capacity to work independently
  • Able to work in an environment of change and ambiguity
  • Stakeholder engagement & negotiation
  • Experience in coordinating and assisting in the management of complex cases
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one
