The Department:
Australia has an internationally world renouned social services departments that covers a broad range of sectors such as Healthcare, Wellfare, and Disability Support. There is an opportunity for an experienced procurement officer to join this agency on a 12 month assignment. 

About the Role:

  • Strategically manage the sourcing, procurement, and onboarding of employees for a skilled and effective workforce.
  • Provide feedback and insight into market trends and forces that affect sourcing and campaign responses.
  • Respond and action relevant employment agreement and industrial awards legislative policy requirements
  • Communicate and report on departmental needs with influence and expertise.
  • Maintain and develop internal and external stakeholder relationships to leverage proactive partnerships
  • Design, implement, and manage the end-to-end procurement process for an emerging project.
 
About You:
  • You will have previously implemented new procurement policy and procedures within a federal department
  • You will be confident in leading and mentoring junior colleagues in personal development within the department.
  • You will have excellent communication, verbal, and written skills.
  • You will be familiar with Federal Government procurement processes and offer a senior level of experience
  • You will have a good understanding of Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, and FairWork Policies and procedures, with a good ability to interpret state and federal policy.
  • You will be able to take on adhoc projects with a high degree of autonomy and identify plus resolve issues as required.
