Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage EL1 Claims Integrity for a 12 months assignment with potential extension in Adelaide CBD.

About the Team

The Claims and Payments Assurance team is responsible for payments assurance control testing for the Provider Payment Correctness (PPC) and Self-Managed Participant Payments (SMP) Programs. It is also responsible for engaging with the Scheme Actuary Group to request the payments sample be assessed, utilise the outcome of the assurance activities to determine the error rate, and report on outcomes of assurance activities to assist with remediation.

The Claims and Payments Integrity Team is responsible for implementing detective and preventative measures that will reduce claims and payments error and improve compliance through performing a combination of manual validation checks and systematic risk & behavioural analytics. It is also responsible for establishing and maintaining internal and external relationships to improve the claims and payments control environment.

About the Role

The EL1 Claims Integrity is accountable under broad direction to undertake very complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the Claims and Payments functions of the NDIA.

The position is an important team leadership position within the NDIA and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. The role requires providing leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the work area.

The EL1 Claims Integrity is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and where required will represent and negotiate on behalf of the NDIA to advance the NDIA's interests across a range of forums.

Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Leading a team to perform payments assurance and claims integrity testing and developing controls through the application of detective and preventative validation checks and systematic analytics.
  • Working with multiple business areas to ensure consistency of practice and application of policies. * Supporting the preparation of advice including briefs, business intelligence reporting and assurance reports.
  • Ensuring appropriate development, maintenance and ongoing review of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to document the required testing, validation checks and systematic analysis to be performed.
  • Working with internal and external stakeholders, including providers, plan managers and participants, to successfully complete validation activities and implement recommendations.
  • Ensuring continuous improvement, maintaining technologies and incorporating new channels for validation.
  • Contributing to project design, governance arrangements and operational integration.
  • Reporting on project outputs to stakeholders and overseeing regular project reporting including status updates and exception reports
