About the Role

The EL1 Assistant Director Service Delivery is accountable under broad direction to undertake very

complex work that delivers quality outcomes across the National Delivery functions of the organisation.

The position is an important team leadership position within the organisation and will have delegated authority and responsibility to resolve issues and risks across wide-ranging activities of substantial depth involving significant detail. It will provide the leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making for the Team Membership and assigned Contractors working within the position's assigned Work Area.

The EL1 Assistant Director Service Delivery is responsible for actively managing key internal and external stakeholder relationships and may be required to represent and negotiate on behalf of the organisation to advance the organisation's interests across a range of forums.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Implementing team strategies and aligning outcomes with the Agency's broader strategic directions and performance targets.
  • Providing expertise and leading the implementation of Service Delivery activities across the state/territory.
  • Managing team performance and outputs to ensure Agency targets are met in relation to planning decisions.
  • Conducting and managing risk assessment and risk management activities within the team and broader business unit.
  • Identifying and leading business improvement initiatives that will enhance the quality and

performance of outcomes, while also implementing effective change management strategies.

  • Providing leadership for all operational aspects within the specific National Delivery site or office.
  • Managing work packages or projects to ensure timely delivery of high-quality planning outcomes.
  • Implement internal quality assurance processes to ensure the values, objectives and principles articulated in the organisations act.

Extensive knowledge of statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks relevant to a field of work, discipline or functional area in order to provide comprehensive and authoritative advice on specialist and very complex issues.
