About the role:

The EL1 Assistant Director Digital Media is a team membership position that will be responsible for resolving complex issues and risks as well as providing support to the team leadership.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • developing and executing digital media strategies to amplify content and support key organisational priorities.
  • reviewing and analysing digital media performance metrics to evaluate and adjust content
  • establishing governance and standard operating procedures for video, animation, and podcast production.
  • developing video, animation and podcast products as media, marketing, communications, and campaign tools to influence and educate.
  • producing podcasts, including series planning, content production, podcast script and sign off from subject matter experts, podcast host and guest procurement, all technical requirements, and hosting channels (apple / Spotify).
  • scriptwriting, storyboarding, reviewing, and editing video and podcast content
  • managing video / podcast partnerships with providers, Disability Representation Organisations and Auslan contracts
  • management of external and internal digital media channels, such as YouTube
  • understanding and shaping internal video production and how it interacts with internal business areas
  • overseeing appropriate archival and audit procedures for video and podcast artefacts
  • managing the digital media budget and tender processes with external contractors

About you:

Ideally you will have relevant education and experience such as working in a or in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations, as well as:
  • Fully vaccinated to work in an office
  • Work as part of a collaborative leadership team, motivating staff and setting strategic priorities.
  • Successfully develop and execute digital media strategies to amplify content and support key organisational priorities.
  • Cautiously review and analyse digital media performance metrics to evaluate and adjust content and inform strategies.
  • Use creativity and originality when developing video and podcast products as media, marketing, communications, and campaign tools to influence and educate
  • Previous experience producing podcasts, including series planning, producing content, podcast script and sign off from SMEs, podcast host and guest procurement, all technical requirements, and hosting channels (Apple / Spotify)
  • Previous experience in scriptwriting, storyboarding, reviewing, and editing strategic video and podcast content
