Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an EL1 Assistant Director, Community Engagement & Communications on a contract for 12 months with possible extension.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of influential communications and engagement strategies and plans to support the National Delivery and Operations and Support Divisions
  • Mentor and guide a small team of communications professionals in providing strategic advice to support the delivery of Corporate Plan aspirations and objectives
  • Drive the creation, delivery and review of communications and engagement content through established communications channels
  • Identify and embed opportunities for continuous improvement in communications and engagement activities and processes
  • Identify and mitigate reputational risks associated with communications and engagement activities
  • Become a trusted and reliable partner to stakeholders across the Agency and further embed existing working relationships to improve the reputation of the Branch and team
  • Build new internal and external networks to facilitate the development and delivery of effective, targeted and timely communications activities
  • Identify new opportunities for knowledge sharing within the Community Engagement and Communications Branch and show leadership in building communications capability
  • Other tasks as required by the Division.
