About the team:
The Media and Marketing Branch enhances the agency's reputation amongst key stakeholders with a focus on participants. They deliver strategic and impactful media, marketing and digital solutions, supported by market research and insights. The Insights and Analytics team aims to positively influence the agency's brand, build proactive engagement and create insight led behaviour change through timely, accessible and inclusive reporting.

About the role:
The EL1 Business Analyst will be responsible for analysis and insight development contributing to strategy development, policies, priorities and communication and engagement practices. It will be required to coordinate and assume responsibility for highly complex, sensitive data and projects. You will serve as an analytical specialist, leading pieces of work that have a quantitative, qualitative or analytical focus. You may work across one or multiple projects and will build, manage and maintain analytical tools and models that can be applied across multiple communication and engagement work and campaigns.
You will undertake extensive data manipulation and analysis activities to identify key insights to drive evidence based decision making. You will be responsible for internal stakeholder engagement to gather, validate and stress test inputs and refine analytical outputs.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing fact based quantitative analysis and structured insights including advanced modelling in Microsoft Excel.
  • Creating materials for key internal and external stakeholders to communicate analytical findings and implications for the Agency.
  • Presenting analytical recommendations and facilitating discussions with a range of key Agency stakeholders.
  • Developing action plans and ensuring stakeholder alignment to enable successful implementation of analytical tools.
  • Providing guidance to the branch and division on quantitative analysis, including facilitating educative sessions.
