Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage an Education and Training Officer on a contract until June 2021, with potential extensions of 6 months.

Position Overview

The Education and Training Officer role has been identified to support a project that will result in the introduction of a self-service online platform for political stakeholders transacting with the client. The role is responsible for undertaking work that is moderately complex under limited direction, utilising expertise and knowledge in the area of training, education and development for external stakeholders.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement an education program for client's external audiences to support the introduction, uptake and use of the self-service online platform.
  • Develop and support key internal relationships, including managing stakeholders to achieve project and agency goals.
  • Conduct analysis into the training and development needs of the client's external audiences, impacted by the introduction of the self-service online platform.
  • Provide analysis on complex issues and contribute to the management, preparation and coordination of policy formulation and/or project management.
  • Provide accurate specialist advice, guidance and reporting on functional responsibilities.
  • Communicate and make decisions using good judgement, expertise and knowledge, governed by legislation, regulations, best practice principles or relevant operating instructions and procedures.
  • Compile and analyse training and development statistics and records including program evaluations and assessments producing reports for senior management on the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Perform additional duties or assume responsibility of functions as directed by the Management from time to time.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • Sound knowledge and experience in the coordination of education and training programs and the development of an education and training curriculum.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in conducting an education and training needs analysis.
  • Knowledge and experience in successfully setting priorities and delivering quality results on time and on budget.
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively whilst anticipating internal stakeholder needs and expectations across a geographically dispersed network.
  • Proven analytical abilities with the ability to propose and facilitate change and contribute to business improvement strategies.
  • Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in education, learning and development or similar field and/or relevant experience. (Desirable)
