Chandler Macleod are currently recruiting an Early Childhood Care Educator for a well established Non For Profit Organisation.

The role of the Child Care Educator, Qualified, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) and Early Learning and Care Centre (ELCC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children. This includes taking a prominent role in helping to prepare, document, implement and evaluate the program. It also includes sharing responsibility for the children's safety, maintaining high levels of supervision, developing good relationships with children and their families, and communicating with families on any issues relating to the care of their children.

    As an Early Childhood Educator, you are expected to be an active Leader of a team which provides high quality early childhood education and care to children. This includes:
  • Developing strong relationships with children
  • Developing strong relationships that support and partner with families;
  • Implementing the policies and associated procedures at all times; and
  • Working with other staff towards continuous improvement

  • A minimum of 1- 2 years experience working as Child Care Educator with an early childhood service
  • Computer literacy in order to document examples of learning stories
    Demonstrated understanding of:
    1. National Quality Framework (NQF);
    2. Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF);
    3. Child Protection and Mandatory Reporting;
    4. Workplace Health and Safety issues and practices.

  • An approved Diploma level qualification in Children's Services as identified by the Australian Children's Education and Care Quality Authority
