Purpose of role -

The purpose of this role is to deliver product in good condition in an effective and timely manner as per procedures outlined in the drivers' manual.
Drive company vehicles and operate machinery in a safe, responsible and courteous way at all times. Maintain all stock in the warehouse and pick orders using OH&S safe manual handling procedures.

Specific Responsibilities -

▪ Deliver products to customers as per invoice requirements
▪ Obtain and be responsible for payment from customers
▪ Read and understand the content of the driver/storeperson manuals
▪ To undertake all duties in a safe responsible and courteous manner
▪ Have basic understanding of OH&S in respect to injury prevention, treatment and rehabilitation
▪ Practice safe and correct manual handling
▪ Correctly present paperwork as per company procedures
▪ Understand the HACCP requirements regarding temperatures and food handling
▪ Adhere to vehicle maintenance policy
▪ Communicate with Sales/Accounts staff regarding any customer problems.
▪ Follow established procedures for conflict resolution and grievances - do not become involved, refer to Sales Manager
▪ Undertake relief driving duties for a period of time as required, to cover another employee's absence from the workplace. This may require you to work a different shift, on minimal notice, that begins substantially earlier or later than your regular rostered shift
▪ Wear clean uniform as provided; be neat and tidy in appearance
▪ Pick orders as per invoice requirements
▪ Ensure all stock within warehouse has been put away in a safe and responsible way
▪ Correct stock rotation in the warehouse at all times.
▪ Control/maintain stock on Damage, Out of code, Miscellaneous and Customer complaints pallets.
▪ Ensure warehouse is neat, clean and in a ready to pick state.
▪ Assist in stock takes
▪ Report all problems with equipment or fittings.
▪ Damaged stock is transferred to the appropriate area and recorded on the appropriate documentation
▪ Be aware of evacuation procedures.

About you -

❖ Holder of valid driver and forklift license as required for vehicle size and/or forklift.
❖ Understanding of company food safety program and in particular the "cold chain"
❖ Ability to build and maintain customer relationships
❖ Current appropriate forklift license
❖ Appreciate and understand the "public face" a driver represents
❖ Customer focused with good communication skills
❖ Accurate attention to detail
❖ Good time and organisational skills
❖ Able to work in a team environment as well as autonomously
