The Role

We have partnered with a leading housing institute to recruit for a Disability Program Lead to join the team on a permanent basis. This role will be heavily strategy focused as well as providing leadership and management to the 2-person team.

As Disability Program Lead you will inform the strategic direction, partnership development, planning and lead the delivery of the Specialist Disability Accommodation services (SDA). Ensuring at all times positive outcomes for clients and their families.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide leadership to the SDA team
  • Develop, build and grow relationships within the disability sector
  • Encourage and drive business growth
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to advocate on disability policy
  • Forge potential new partnerships through collaboration
  • Ensure SDA compliance
  • Support the Head of Community & Partnerships in developing disability service delivery strategy and policy
  • Provide briefings on NDIS/Disability developments and provide any recommendations on the implications
  • Review and maintain standard of all SDA policies and procedures

Required Experience:

  • 5 years' experience within the disability or human services sector
  • Excellent understanding of the NDIS service deliver model, including funding guidelines, quality and safeguard framework
  • Proven leadership & management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in human services contract management, service co-ordination, design and development
  • Understanding of the design and delivery of disability related services

  • Strong presentation skills and preparations of written reports, proposals and tenders
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with stakeholders
  • Ability to plan, organise and coordinate to a high standard
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills
