Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Director, Digital Health Record Program and Governance on a contract for 6 months with potential extension.

Position Overview

The Director, Digital Health Record Program will:

  • Support the governance of the Digital Health Record Program including managing risks and issues and the budget.
  • Manage internal and external program health checks and documentation required to manage the tranches.
  • Prepare reports, correspondence, briefs and other documentation.
  • Coordinate and prepare high level strategic advice on strategic, administrative and operational matters to assist in decision making/
  • Support the DHR Program executives with attendance at key meetings, governing bodies and for other high-level meetings, through the coordination and provision of briefing.
  • Support human resource management and recruitment for the DHR Program.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and programs addressing core business of the Digital Health Record Program, including planning and managing key projects as directed by the Senior Director, Digital Health Record Program.
  • Provide oversight and secretariat support services for key committees of the Digital Health Record Program.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships across the ACT Health Directorate and ACT Government more generally.
  • Manage the DHR Program and Governance Officer.
  • Undertake other duties appropriate to this level of classification which contribute to the operation of the Directorate.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Highly Desirable

  • Knowledge of government objectives and organisational strategy and structure, and an understanding of how Directorates, divisions and business units integrate and the interdependencies between them.
  • Practitioner certification in Managing Successful Programs (MSP) or similar

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • A police check is required

SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Proven ability to provide governance and oversight of a complex program in the health and/or IT domain.
  • Demonstrated experience in providing support to an executive and/or program office including developing briefs, reports and other materials.
  • Highly developed research and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to be solutions focused, identify and make sound judgements on sensitive and complex issues.
  • Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills with a demonstrated ability to establish and maintain strong and effective working relationships.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and demonstrated ability to be proactive, flexible and to manage competing priorities while working under pressure and in a changing working environment.
  • Ability to lead, mentor and motivate staff and take responsibility for actions, projects and people.
  • Demonstrates a commitment to work, health and safety (WH&S) and displays behaviour consistent with the ACT Public Service Values and Signature Behaviours
