We are currently recruiting for a DfMA Project Manager for our client, a NSW Government agency based in Sydney CBD. This is an initial 12 month contract with a pay rate of $818 per day + super (slightly negotiable), 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week.

The role will work in the MMC Team (Modern Methods of Construction) and will assist with the implementation of Phase 3 of the MMC Strategy. Key objectives of Phase 3 include developing a fully functional Digital Catalogue of parts and embedding the MMC approach into BAU.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the development of the Digital Catalogue (Kit of Parts), and supporting the Program Director, Senior Project Design Manager and Digital Engineering Manager in this endeavour
  • Engaging with the Infrastructure Planning & Delivery teams to develop standard documents and creating processes, templates and checklists for the business units in line with established systems and process
  • Continuous improvement of the MMC Implementation Handbook
  • Preparation and co-ordination of the activities for the Executive Steering Committee
  • Program monitoring, guidance and assistance to MMC cluster and project delivery teams
  • Manage MMC design evolution in the concept design phase within cost planning parameters and budgets.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous DfMA or MMC Experience
  • Project Management and Contract Management experience
  • Track record of delivering construction and engineering projects, ideally larger building projects within social infrastructure (Education, Health, Justice etc)
  • In-depth knowledge of different Procurement and Delivery models
  • A self-starter that is flexible, adaptable and able to work with a wide range of stakeholders
