The Opportunity
Chandler Macleod is looking to engage several Delivery and Employer Engagement Officers for a contract term of 12 months with a well-established Federal Government department. These roles will be based in the Sydney CBD and pay rates are dependant on experience.

Job Specification
Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and implementing place based projects, labour market strategies, monitoring and managing contract performance, representing the Department to external stakeholders including employers, State Government agencies, local councils, non−government organisations and contracted employment providers, to collaboratively advance the Department's business activities.
  • Driving place based projects with your team, monitoring performance, resolving issues and providing regular feedback to the Director, ACT/NSW State Office and other senior staff within the department
  • Supporting employment service providers to deliver quality services and outcomes, in keeping with contractual requirements and departmental expectations, and act as a central point of contact for providers with the Department
  • Work closely with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. This includes departmental staff in other state offices, to ensure service providers are meeting expectations in all locations in which they are contracted to deliver services, as well as policy and program areas across the Department to develop and refine employment programs and services. In addition, you will regularly engage with a wide range of external stakeholders to support local employment initiatives and opportunities.



About You
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities/experience and/or qualifications:

  • Resourceful, proactive and highly motivated
  • People management skills, including the ability to provide effective leadership, in building team capabilities and culture to meet current and future business needs and effectively manage complex and sensitive issues
  • Ability to build positive, collaborative working relationships with and be innovative in response to the needs of, a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to achieving positive outcomes
  • Experience in working with legislation, policy, contractual framework, guidelines and systems
  • Strong conceptual, analytical and project management capabilities and the proven ability to provide evidence-based advice.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication, including strong representational skills and the ability to provide clear and accurate advice to internal and external stakeholders
  • Initiative, flexibility and a demonstrated capacity to solve problems and work effectively with others, including a willingness to contribute to the work of the NSW/ACT State Office more broadly
  • An understanding of contemporary labour market challenges.
