Our client an employer of choice is currently seeking a suitably experienced individual for a 6 month contract based in Port Macquarie.

As the Data Quality Officer you are to ensure the processing and recording of asset alterations to the WASP asset database is conducted in a timely manner in preparation of the monthly billing cycle as well as the following duties and responsibilities;

  • Assist with implementation of systems and processes to provide timely and accurate street light inventories
  • Assist in the conducting of process change workshops to facilitate productive and meaningful sessions
  • Create exception reports against the UMS asset data base highlighting data quality issues that will eventuate in billing errors or misrepresent the asset information
  • Ensure the asset information is accurate so that the billing engine is invoicing the correct entity for the correct assets
  • Create warning mechanisms that would alert the business that maintenance work was nearing or had breached our regulatory requirement for the reparation
  • Respond to customer (internal or external) enquiries about their inventories
  • Ensure the data being received back from packs is accurate and processed in a timely manner
  • Create UMS Performance statistic reports as required.

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role in the Construction, Energy/Electrical or Utilities industry
  • Knowledge of the operations of the Unmetered Supply industry
  • Demonstrated experience in the use of asset data management systems and reporting tools
  • Knowledge and understanding of the relationship between asset data management systems and billing systems

Skills

  • Good analytical skills with the ability to identify issues and trends and devise methods for rectification or improvement
  • Proven technical writing skills including the collation of reports relating to operational activities
  • Proven interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to work in a collaborative manner with customers, business units and key stakeholders
  • Strong skills in problem solving, decision making and time management
  • Flexible team player who thrives in environments requiring the ability to effectively prioritise and juggle multiple assignments and tasks
  • Sound skills in computer operations and business systems relevant to the role including Microsoft office products
