Our Federal Government client is seeking to engage a Data Analyst and Support Officer on a contract until September 2020, with potential extension.

Position Overview

As a Data analyst, you will gather data and reporting requirements for projects, develop tools and systems for the collection and processing of data, produce reports, and present findings to the SDSA leadership team. In an environment driven and measured by performance targets, you will be responsible for providing staff performance updates to team leaders in a timely manner.

You may share your expertise and technical knowledge with your peers and the broader site team. You will be responsible for ensuring the timely collection, collation and reporting of project specific data. You will correspond daily with the team leaders, assistant director and branch manager to provide quality updates regarding multiple projects.

You may also assist the Service Delivery Support Alliance by taking on project specific work allocated by your leaders. This work may involve complex and sensitive conversations where many factors need to be balanced, to understand how disability impacts on daily living and assess support needs where necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Developing and implementing data collection systems
  • Data analytics and reporting which will include interpreting data and analysing the results
  • Coordinate and drive internal quality assurance processes while reporting on data trends
  • Collection, collation and reporting of project specific data and outcomes for a team of 60 staff
  • Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
  • Communicate and work with management to prioritise business and information needs
  • Possess a sufficient breadth of program and project expertise to identify, analyse and implement alternative courses of action
  • Provide advice and support on established technical, operational, professional and administrative activities and procedures

Desirable Requirements:

  • It is highly desirable that applicants have an understanding of or lived experience in the field of disability, are proficient in Microsoft Excel, and are capable of interpreting data and analysing results using basic techniques and providing ongoing reports to management.
  • Entry Level checks will be required for all successful candidates and dependent on the role the appropriate working with children and/or vulnerable people checks may need to be undertaken as per State Legislation.
