Position title: Cyber-Security Specialist - Government
Contract Estimation Duration: 12 Months with possibility of extension
Company Type / Size: Government - Baseline Clearance is Essential.
Location: Sydney CBD
Salary / Rate: TBC - Neg - DOE
Purpose of this position:
We are urgently recruiting for an experienced security engineer for our Government client. In this role you will be responsible for security analysis, technical studies, implementing security solution design tasks and being an essential part of a small team involved in systems integration and engineering support.
General Requirements:

  • Candidates with skills/experience operating VMWare and Linux OS is highly desirable. Qualifications for these systems are not essential. but would be viewed favourably. What is essential is a degree of comfort or familiarity with systems operations which will enable rapid consolidation/upskilling to become effective in this area.
  • Candidates with a good grasp of verbal, visual or audio-visual training suite production is desirable, specifically creative industries or commercial product creation would be beneficial.
  • Candidates will be working to develop fictitious human actor profiles involving development, detection, or modification of information sets. An experience or interest in creating deep fakes or image rendering would therefore be desirable.
  • Candidates with a sound understanding of Social/Human network analysis is favourable. This is NOT social media influencing, marketing or public relations, as these skills are largely irrelevant. Social/Human network analysis skills that we are seeking are linked to sociological, political science research fields.
  • Candidates with potential skills/experience in forensic criminal or intelligence experience is favourable.

    Technical Scope:
     Strong presentation style is essential, as there will be a requirement to be both convincing and convince d when interacting with our client base.
     Candidates will need to have the ability to conduct rapid and targeted research to significant depth in diverse areas, this is essential.
     Candidates would benefit from highlighting their mental agility in assessing information and developing training options for the client base. Familiarity with AGILE work methodologies and an ability to work with a dynamic. Cross functional project team is highly desirable.
     Candidates with a military or law enforcement background would be favourable, as the core subject matter is designed to facilitate Defence and supporting organisations' training needs. Robustness of character and diverse experience in "tactical and strategically focused" information operations will become key to this role.
    Education:
    Baseline Security Clearance is Essential.
