Customer Service Team Leader

An opportunity exists for an experienced Customer Service Team Leader to join one of Australia's leading supply chains based in South East Melbourne for a permanent role starting January. Our highly sought client within the Steel Industry requires a strong and resilient Team Leader equipped to manage customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibility of the Team Leader is to:

  • Demonstrate flexibility in the role, may need to support Hobart branch
  • Order entry and management experience within time frames
  • Monitor phone system, ensuring queues covered and KPIs met
  • Quality assurance targets are met by team
  • Liaising with other team leaders locally and nationally
  • Resolving customer escalations and disputes
  • Conduct one on one sessions and reviews with team members
  • Investigate errors, damage, credit claims and promise hits

Required Skills/Experience

  • 2-3 years relevant customer service leadership or sales leadership experience
  • Experience in contact centre, all centre or similar environment
  • Experience working to targets and/or KPIs
  • Certificate 3 or above in customer care/contact - advantage

About You

To be considered for the role, you will have a similar of experience as a Team Leader within a busy cooperative team environment. You will also be able to work independently with high level of responsibility. You will have proven capacity to engage and influence key stake holders, ability to problem solve and negotiate and understand needs of the customer. Collaborative and people orientated, flexible and adaptable and be able to coach and mentor a team.
