The Client

Our client is Australia's largest integrated manufacturer and supplier of steel long products and solutions and is also a trusted supplier to the manufacturing, housing, mining and agricultural industries.

The Customer Service Representative role provides sales processing, order book management and customer service. This role encompasses the day-to-day interface between our client and their customers.


Role Dimension

The primary purpose of the Customer Service/Sales and Service Representative role is to proactively manage customers' needs whilst building and maintaining strong relationships to improve the customer experience.

You will be:

  • Providing customers with an exceptional customer experience and first contact resolution;
  • Maintaining knowledge of products to provide specialist information.
  • Proactively managing customer orders and the end to end fulfilment process;
  • Understanding customer ordering patterns, volumes and identifying additional sales opportunities;
  • Providing accurate and timely information;
  • Being the pivotal link between our customers and internal stakeholders, including, Operations, Transport Planning, Marketing, Quality, Finance and Sales
  • Building relationships through regular contact and genuine interest in our customers businesses

You will have:

  • Demonstrated passion for providing exceptional customer service and delivering value to customers.
  • Ability to identify issues and understand the contributing factors and find effective
  • solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Proven strength in building customer and internal relationships to influence and negotiate
    successful outcomes.
  • Broad understanding of sales, marketing and logistics processes.
  • Previous Sales & Service experience.
